Role of Lawyers

Lawyers, also called attorneys, act as both advocates and advisors.

As advocates, we represent clients in criminal or civil trials, presenting evidence and arguing in support of our client’s position.

As advisors, we counsel clients on their legal rights and obligations and suggest appropriate courses of action in business and personal matters.

Our attorneys conduct careful research into laws and judicial decisions and apply them to the specific circumstances our clients face. Lawyers may also oversee the work of support staff, including paralegals, legal assistants and legal secretaries.
